DAY 25 - FOODS THAT LOVE

Hey everyone!

I'm on Day 25 of my healthy eating plan and am feeling AWESOME!!!

I'm doing some form of exercise almost everyday whether it be circuit classes at my local gym, inferno pilates (more on that in my next blog!), walking or hard core gardening.

I'm eating foods that love me, and we all know what happens when we eat or do things that are good for us..... we flourish! I can just feel my cells being pumped full of clean, nourishing super powers. I barely even think about that glass of rose or red wine now. Instead I crave my ice cold glass of mineral water with half a fresh lime added. That's my wine! Might sound boring, but I'm sure you get where I'm coming from.

After my circuit class yesterday, I made a homemade bone broth full of wholesome goodness.

For those that are keen to try it, here's my recipe:

  • Bone Broth (homemade) - 1-2 cups. This can be a chicken broth or beef broth. Organic is best, and most importantly, please use grass fed beef bones. Make a big pot of bone broth over the weekend so you have it on hand for tasty meals like this one.
  • Borage - fresh from my garden, this is a health giving herb and its tiny blue flowers attracts bees like a magnet. The leaves are big, green and slightly prickly, but if you boil them in a pot with your daily portion of broth, the prickles magically disappear.
  • Egg x 1 - cracked straight into the simmering pot and stirred.
  • Macadamia Nuts - a small handful.
  • Sunflower Seeds - a medium handful.
  • Himalayan Pink Salt or Celtic Salt - add for extra flavour as desired.

And there you have it! MOVING EVERYDAY + FOODS THAT LOVE = FEELING AWESOME, POSITIVE AND CLEAN!!!
